Telecommunications harassment

A staff member called police Friday about harassing phone calls she received at work. According to the police report, the staff member had received a voice mail and several phone calls from a suspect she did not know but appeared to know her. The report stated that the caller said she knew the staff member through the Web site Second Life, and was under the impression they had been corresponding through the site for six months. The staff member reportedly knows nothing about Second Life. The staff member told the caller to stop calling after the caller said she had a package for the staff member and knew her address. According to the report the staff member has been advised to contact the police if the caller calls again.

Theft - RPAC

RPAC staff member Barbara Jean Wuest was arrested Friday for reportedly attempting to steal an iPod from an RPAC locker.

Criminal damaging - Pomerene Hall

A staff member reported criminal damaging to Pomerene Hall Saturday. According to the police report there were holes kicked in the drywall in the attic of Mirror Lake Cafe. The case is now closed.

Disorderly conduct - Morrisson Tower

Police responded to a call Saturday about disorderly behavior from a student in Morrisson Tower. According to the report, the student was intoxicated and once police arrived the student was defiant to the officers. Several bottles of alcohol were found in the room and the officer recommended that the report be forwarded to the student judicial services.

Theft - Hughes Hall

A student reported Monday that his saxophone had been taken from his locker in Hughes Hall.

Criminal damaging - Baker Systems

It was reported Tuesday that there was damage done to a vending machine in Baker Systems. According to the police report the estimated cost of the damages totals $3,500.

Breaking and entering - McPherson Laboratory

A staff member reported breaking and entering into a lab in McPherson Wednesday.
