Obama rally to inspire voters, cause parking problems

Thousands of Ohio State students and visitors are expected to fill St. John Arena Wednesday morning, as Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama will be holding a campaign rally for the March 4 primary election.

What: Keeping America's Promise Rally with Barack Obama When: Wednesday Feb. 27, 10 a.m. Where: St. John Arena, 410 Woody Hayes Drive Cost: Free, but space will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Parking: Many staff parking spots around St. John Arena will be reserved for event parking. Free parking will be available at the Schottenstein Center Scarlet Lots 3-5 and Grey Lots 3-7 and at the Buckeye Lots off Ackerman Road and Fred Taylor Drive.

A limited number of disability parking spaces will be available on the north side of the French Field House. Disability parking will also be available in the Buckeye Lots.

Free Shuttle: Service between the Buckeye Lots and St. John Arena will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will run continuously through the morning.

Other info: Refrain from bringing backpacks and bags and limit personal items for security reasons. Signs and banners are prohibited.
