Ohio State housing officials met Saturday regarding a student showing signs of H1N1 influenza, or swine flu, said Jim Lynch, director of media relations. The student is a resident of Stradley Hall.

"The student had two family members who were believed to have the virus," said Jim Lynch, director of media relations. "The student has moved to an off-campus location for isolation. Everyone is following the [Center for Disease Control] guidelines."

Lynch said that anyone who was in contact or in close quarters with the student is being offered treatment.

"Student health officials have been communicating with students about this matter," he said.

The Wilce Student Health Center will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for any students who feel they need care, he said. Students can call the Student Health Center at 614-292-4321.
