Nintendo fans and Wii owners are likely to be disappointed with the fall game-release list. The big games coming down the pipeline are limited to "Animal Crossing: City Folk" which might as well be a Game Cube port, "Wii Music," and that's about it.

I'm not exactly sure what Nintendo is thinking. Perhaps they are just getting lazy and think they don't need to put out their own triple-A titles.

In other Nintendo news, the company held its fall conference last week and unveiled the new DSi. The new Nintendo DS will have two cameras and larger screens, which will both have touch-screen capability. Unfortunately, North America might have to wait until next fall to receive the DSi.

Back to Nintendo games - We'd have to assume another "Zelda" and "Metroid" are coming along, but who knows how long "Donkey Kong" and "Star Fox" will be in exile.

As a long-time Nintendo fan, I'm struggling to follow the new direction in casual games. I would love to see footage of the upcoming "Kid Icarus" and "Pikmin" titles and I would love to see a new "Zelda" trailer.

But until Nintendo starts trying, I'm going to keep my 360 running.
