Hope's Boutique, a specialty store catering to cancer patients and survivors located at JamesCare in Dublin, is celebrating its 10th anniversary by hosting a public open house. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 16 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, features a 35 percent discount on all items along with a "Pink Elephant Tent Sale" outside the radiology building.
"We are celebrating 10 wonderful years of spreading hope," says Vera Garofalo, manager of Hope's Boutique, located at 4049 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. "This is our way of saying 'thank you' to our patients and the community for their incredible support." Later in the month, the Soroptimist International of Northeast Suburban Franklin County, an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Hope Fund at Ohio State's James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
Hope's Boutique was developed as a convenient, one-of-a-kind resource offering women who are in treatment for cancer a comfortable shopping experience with a knowledgeable and compassionate staff. Wigs, prostheses, skin care products, clothing, scarves, gifts and other items are available, as are private fitting rooms.
The shop's proceeds go to the Hope Fund that offers financially disadvantaged women access to these items.
