It is the middle of summer and a total of 27 Ohio State baseball players are refining their skills in various summer leagues across the country. The Lantern caught up with one such player, soon-to-be sophomore pitcher and outfielder J.B. Shuck, to learn about his life off the baseball diamond.

Most disgusting thing a player has done: Someone did not wash their clothes for like 2 weeks. Most embarrassing moment: Playing in fall ball, when you hit a HR, you are supposed to go to first base and come back. I did not know that and when I was rounding third, all the guys were giving me a hard time.

Knuckleball Best OSU memory: First collegiate game against No. 12 Missouri, got the win, and our first Big Ten home series against Illinois, I pitched a complete game. Most meaningful thing someone has told you: We lived in a small town, where nobody big has really made it out of. My parents kept telling me to work hard, do not listen to anyone else and you will make it out of here.
