Two intoxicated men hit each other in the head with a crowbar Tuesday afternoon during a fight over borrowed money.

Reports state that a 51-year-old man was at his apartment on the 1400 block of High Street when he got in an altercation with another man, to whom he owed money. The resident said that during the fight, the other man struck him in the head with a crowbar. The resident then took the crowbar and hit him in the head with the bar in turn.

When police arrived, both men had minor swelling to their heads but refused medical treatment. Neither of the men wanted to press charges.

Salon students brawl in street

Police were called to the Aveda salon at 1618 Neil Ave. Tuesday afternoon on reports of two women fighting in the street.

According to reports, two students of the salon had gotten into an argument inside the store, but later took the fight to the street. The women had different versions of the story, but both said there had been hair pulling and both ended up fighting on the ground.

Two witnesses broke up the fight, but didn’t see how the altercation
began.

One of the women had swelling to her face and left eye, but refused medical treatment. Because of the conflicting stories, both women were referred to the Franklin County prosecutor’s office.
