A male student reported assault Tuesday after getting in a physical confrontation with another male student at Drackett Tower, which is located at 161 Curl Drive. The fight occurred after the second student made a vulgar comment about the smell of the first student’s pizza rolls, to which he responded with a vulgar comment about the smell of the second student’s Chinese food, according to an Ohio State police report. Next, student two asked student one if he was making fun of his country. Both students involved are from China, according to the police report. Student two said that student one responded with a statement that means “let’s fight” in Chinese. Student one denied the statement and said that what he said actually means “fruit” in Chinese, according to the police report. No criminal charges are being filed, but both made it clear they did not like each other.
A male staff member reported a breaking-and-entering at Ohio Stadium Monday, which is located at 411 Woody Hayes Drive. An estimated $3,800 of university property, including four flat-screen televisions and 59 articles of OSU merchandise and novelty items, along with two picture frames containing six autographed photos of former OSU football players of unknown value, were reported stolen. An estimated $1,200 worth of damage was also reported. An investigation is pending.
A female student reported gross sexual imposition Sunday at Park-Stradley Hall, which is located at 120 W. 11th Ave. An investigation is pending.
OSU Police issued four open container citations to OSU students and 13 citations to non-affiliates Saturday between 12:18 p.m. and 1:48 p.m., prior to the OSU-Illinois football game. During this time, two alcohol-related citations of offenses involving underage persons were also issued, both to non-affiliates.
