A female Ohio State student reported a rape at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday in Norton House. The investigation into the incident is still pending.
On the other side of campus a male resident of Park-Stradley Hall was charged with possessing and concealing drugs Saturday night. A Park-Stradley assistant hall director turned over less than two grams of marijuana, a pipe and a metal grinder to police.
The drugs were discovered when the on-call resident advisers were doing their routine rounds of the building and smelled burning marijuana coming from a room. The resident opened the door when the staff knocked and admitted to smoking marijuana in his room. He said that the items turned over were his.
The student said “he only started smoking marijuana in December and that he only smoked on the weekends,” according to the University Police report. “When he did smoke marijuana, he would smoke in his dorm room near the window.”
