Former Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee might be overlooking the Oval this fall.

A $190,000 renovation project inside of Page Hall will create an office suite for Gee and his assistant. The plans detail the enclosure of an open corridor space to create a suite with an existing, adjacent office, OSU spokesman Gary Lewis said in an email Wednesday that confirmed details reported by Columbus Business First.

The project was approved to start Aug. 1 and is expected to be finished by late September or early October. Gee’s office until that point is in South Campus Gateway, Lewis said.

Gee’s exit package and Interim President Joseph Alutto’s salary have not yet been finalized. Although Gee’s contract includes a tenured position at Moritz College of Law, the “specific plan for his future role at the University is still being finalized,” Lewis said.

Gee still occupies the OSU-owned house in Bexley, and there is no potential date yet as to when he will move out, Lewis said.
