Akhmed Ismailov, an international graduate student in the Fisher College of Business, died sometime during the past few days, a Fisher spokeswoman said. As of Tuesday afternoon, the spokeswoman said details including when and how the man died were unknown.

An internal Student Life email obtained by The Lantern said it was understood that Ismailov died in his home country of Uzbekistan.

The email also said Ismailov was in an MBA program in Fisher and recently completed his first year, but was not enrolled in the current summer term or the upcoming fall semester.

OSU’s public directory, Find People, lists Ismailov’s major as master of business administration.

“Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family and friends, and Student Life’s Student Advocacy Center will be of any assistance required,” Student Life spokesman Dave Isaacs said in an email Tuesday afternoon. Isaacs said he had no information on the cause of death.
