Ohio State football freshman cornerback Marshon Lattimore is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday morning, according to his personal Twitter account @_ShonL2 Tuesday night.

Lattimore has since deleted the tweet.

Lattimore, who was a consensus four-star prospect out of Glenville High School in Cleveland, and a U.S. Army All-American, starred on a Tarblooder team that advanced to the Division II Ohio state championship game in 2013.

The news of Lattimore’s surgery was first reported by Eleven Warriors.

Coach Urban Meyer did not mention Lattimore’s name Monday when he discussed the open corner position opposite senior Doran Grant.

The Buckeyes are scheduled to take on Navy Saturday at noon at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
