Eastbound 12th Avenue is set to close between the 12th Avenue Garage and Neil Avenue starting Sept. 15, but is expected to reopen next August, according to an OSU construction news website.
The road closure is because of steam and distribution upgrades, Administration and Planning spokesman Dan Hedman said in a Monday email. He was unable to immediately provide the cost of the project, however, because The Lantern asked after business hours.
Eastbound traffic will be redirected to John Herrick Drive, while westbound 12th Avenue won’t be closed.
To access the garage, drivers should use the John Herrick Drive entrance and exit, though access will still be available from 12th Avenue, the site said.
North Cannon Garage access, Harding Hospital and Jennings Hall’s loading dock will be accessible using Cannon Drive.
