Jane Goodall is slated to speak at OSU on March 25.

Jane Goodall is slated to visit Ohio State during Spring Semester.

The Ohio Union Activities Board announced via Twitter Monday evening it will bring Goodall to campus for an event titled “Sowing the Seeds of Hope: An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall.”

The lecture is scheduled to take place March 25 in the Ohio Union’s Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.

Goodall is a primatologist and anthropologist known for more than four decades of work studying the social interactions of chimpanzees in Tanzania.

Additionally, she founded the Jane Goodall Institute, a wildlife and environment conservation organization in 1977.

Mia Grube, OUAB president, said OUAB is looking forward to the event.

“OUAB is extremely excited to announce ‘Sowing the Seeds of Hope: An Evening With Dr. Jane Goodall,’” Grube said in an email. “Dr. Goodall will speak about her life, as well as the threats to our planet at the present moment.”

Tickets for the event, free one per valid BuckID, are slated to be released Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Ohio Union Information Center.
