According to reports, the 17-year-old boy was crossing the street at 4 p.m. when someone fired a gun at him. He never saw anyone with a gun, but said he was walking near a red Honda when he heard the gunshot.

Wounded by the bullet, he walked to the home of a family member, who drove him to the Ohio State University Hospital. He was treated and scheduled to be released.
