An emergency gas outage affected four campus buildings Wednesday morning.

The natural gas outage occured at about 11 a.m., affecting Morrill and Lincoln towers, Drake Performance and Event Center, and the RPAC.

The outage lasted for about an hour, according to a representative from OSU Service 2 Facilities.

A dispatcher from the Ohio State Department of Public Safety said they had not been made aware of any building evacuations.

A Service 2 Facilities representative also said she “assumed heat will be off for an hour,” and that students were otherwise unaffected.

A natural gas outage was scheduled for valve repair Thursday in the buildings affected and is still scheduled for 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
