Bonanno saves day for Buckeyes
Liana Bonanno recorded her second career shutout and seven Buckeyes scored multiple points as the Ohio State women's hockey team snatched two wins at Niagara University during the weekend.

The collaborative offensive and defensive effort gave OSU (12-11-3 overall, 7-10-3 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) added confidence heading into a series with No. 3 Minnesota Duluth Friday and Saturday.

Texan adds to top class

They say everything is bigger in Texas and new football recruit J.B. Shugarts is no exception. His 6-foot-7-inch, 300-pound build, combined with a 5.1 time in the 40-yard dash, make for an offensive lineman who can hit hard and fast.

The Klein High School graduate committed to Ohio State in late April and is already attending classes.

Albertson injury no obstacle for Bucks
The loss of a star player did not slow down the No. 8 Ohio State men's volleyball team.

Playing their first match without junior John Albertson, out with a broken ankle, the Buckeyes (4-1) defeated Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference rival Quincy Illinois 3-0 (30-19, 30-28, 30-17 and 30-23, 30-14, 30-19) in consecutive matches Friday and Saturday.
