An Ohio State student who went missing Thursday morning was arrested last night for filing a false police report in Athens, Tenn., said Rick Amweg, assistant chief of University Police.
Hiroshi Hayashi, a junior in pre-computer and information science, told Athens police he was forcefully taken from the Tuttle Park parking lot and held for five days until he escaped in Athens, according to an Athens Police Department media release.
Hayashi, after being read his Miranda rights, confessed to police that he fabricated the story.
As of 11:50 p.m. yesterday, Hayashi is charged with filing a false police report and has been transported to McMinn County Justice Center in Athens.…
