Music, bar-goers force some residents out of south campus apartments

Noisy Gateway troubles tenants
Michaelia Dunn has spent countless nights during the past two years studying quietly in her apartment, trying to ignore the roaring music from the bars across the street.

Dunn, a second-year pharmacy student, lives in a two-bedroom South Campus Gateway apartment.

"On a Wednesday night when I need to stay up and study it's blaring outside," she said. "On the weekends it's OK because I just expect it, but it happens on the weekdays too."

Dunn said from inside her apartment she hears music from McFadden's and can hear every word the DJ at Ugly Tuna Saloona says.…
