Government insufficient in doing parents' job

Ohio Attorney General, Marc Dann recently reached an agreement with MySpace to enforce stricter rules on the site's users to prevent sex offenders from harassing young members of the social networking site.

Despite predictions he would easily be a first-10 pick in the NFL Draft, Ohio State junior linebacker James Laurinaitis has opted to return for his senior year much to the delight of Buckeye fans heartbroken in the aftermath of the team's second consecutive National Championship disappointment.

Resurrecting those two-week-old resolutions

"Do or do not. There is no try." Jedi Master Yoda would make millions as a motivational speaker. However the truth of the matter is that most New Year resolutions have the longevity of a Storm Trooper. I already know several friends who have punked out on their resolutions and it has been two weeks.

Coke offers more than empty calories

In response to Eddie Klatka's Nov. 21 column, "OSU should can Coke deal," I was at first skeptical of the accusations he made against Coca-Cola. He said the corporation "has a laundry list of human rights and worker's rights violations extending around the world," that, in India, Coke is "continually polluting villages, where their bottling plants are located, with toxic waste" and that, in Columbia, union leaders have been killed or threatened with murder.
