OSU encourages former athletes to complete degreesOhio State has been honored by the National Consortium of Academics and Sports for being ranked second nationally for former student athletes returning and completing their undergraduate degrees. OSU is one of 59 schools being honored on a degree completion honor roll because of its dedication to encouraging former athletes to finish their undergraduate degrees.
The Degree Completion Program, which has been offered at OSU since 1994, offers student-athletes, who do not have athletic eligibility left, the opportunity to finish their coursework with tuition reimbursement. Since the start of the program at Ohio State over 100 former athletes have returned to complete their degrees.
