Webmail gone phishing

OIT warns students of e-mail hijacking scam

In the past month, people across the country have received spam originating from osu.edu e-mail addresses while the owners of the spam-generating accounts remain oblivious.

An e-mail phishing scam, which has been traced to Nigeria, has been targeting Ohio State webmail accounts. Six or seven different messages that appear to be from the OSU e-mail team have been sent to osu.edu addresses in the past month, asking users to respond with their usernames and passwords for "verification purposes" related to the recent e-mail migration.

NPR broadcaster Scott Simon speaks at Hillel Foundation

Monday night was certainly a big night for Ohio State and Bruce Springsteen fans alike. The Boss put on a spectacular performance at the Schottenstein Center and the basketball Buckeyes landed a solid win against California at St. John Arena in the National Invitation Tournament. All-too-many might have missed OSU Hillel Foundation welcoming Emmy and Peabody Award-winning National Public Radio broadcaster Scott Simon, host of Saturday's "Weekend Edition."
