On Wednesday night Undergraduate Student Government hosted a debate on marijuana use, the second in a series of five. The debaters discussed Issue 5, which basically states that penalties imposed by Ohio State for the possession of marijuana should be no greater than those for alcohol.
Of the USG debates, this was the only one in which there was no opposition.

Elizabeth Evanoo and Anita Chong had a plan. They knew they wanted to raise AIDS awareness on campus but initially they debated how to raise the money.
"We eventually got the idea from a service project Elizabeth had done in high school," Chong said.

Hundreds gathered Wednesday, National Autism Awareness Day, on the south lawn of the Ohio Statehouse to support autism awareness and promote a bill granting more funding to autism programs. The bill, supported by Ted Strickland, secures full insurance benefits for patients with autism.

A staff member reported Monday the door to a storage room had been broken into. According to the police report, it looked like someone tried to break into the office, possibly to steal computer equipment. There was nothing missing from the office and there was no other damage to the door. The case is now closed.
