DISQUALIFIED

Koltak, Graver out of USG presidential race
by Nicole Staples

Undergraduate Student Government presidential and vice presidential candidate team Peter Koltak and Amanda Graver were disqualified from the presidential race last night.

The decision was made after allegations concerning the team's campaign finances.

Though they are currently disqualified, Koltak and Graver will have the opportunity to appeal the decision by submitting formal documentation.

"Obviously we feel that the wrong decision was made, and we plan to appeal it," Koltak said.

USG president moves on

by Nicole Staples

A typical day for the outgoing Kate Christobek includes at least three classes, two to three different meetings, a jam-packed e-mail inbox and sporadic interviews with the media.

The remainder of Kate's time is split between her family, sorority sisters and her boyfriend. This has been her life for the last two years as Undergraduate Student Government vice president and president, but she would not have it any other way.

"I have really enjoyed my position," Kate said. "After I saw the impact Ryan (Fournier) made, I knew I wanted to continue to be involved with USG on that level."

On June 8, Kate will graduate from OSU with three different degrees, but she will no longer be the spokesperson for 38,000 undergraduate students.
