Equestrian team poised for run at ninth National Championship

Lyndsay Nezbeth always loved riding horses, but never competed in equestrian events.

And it was not until her sophomore year that she learned Ohio State had one of the best equestrian programs in the country.

"I met Kayla (Feltz) at a bus stop," Nezbeth said of her future teammate. "We started talking and I decided to do it."

Weekend split wraps up home season

One final burst was all Christina Keesey needed to defeat Purdue's Joanna Craven at the fourth singles spot and put the Ohio State's women tennis team over the top Saturday.

"I got a little too negative during the second set, but I started the third set well and that brought my confidence back," Keesey said.

Senior duo leads linebackers
Death, taxes and Ohio State linebackers. Nothing in existence is a greater guarantee.

This season should be no different as James Laurinaitis and Marcus Freeman return to anchor the team's perennially consistent unit.

"Everyone said I made the right decision," Laurinaitis said. "It's the best time of your life being with friends and the education here is great. And I can help younger players out. No regrets."

OSU aims to break attendance records

Every year, the Ohio State spring football game brings crowds to campus to watch the scrimmage between the scarlet and gray.

This year is different. The spring game will be a part of the larger scarlet and gray weekend in which OSU hopes to set two national attendance records in men's lacrosse and football at Ohio Stadium as well as stadium records for baseball and softball.

Best fans in land have chance to prove it

Many of you know Ohio State will be hosting its inaugural Scarlet and Gray Days this weekend, highlighted by the Buckeyes' spring football game. Fewer of you know the men's lacrosse team will play right before the football game at the Horseshoe in an attempt to set a national stadium record for a lacrosse game. And even fewer of you know there are two other important games serving as part of the promotional effort.

I'm going to take a minute to inform you on just why this weekend should be about more than football.
