Risking impeachment, Attorney General Marc Dann on Monday refused demands from the governor and other fellow Democrats that he resign over a sexual harassment scandal in his office and an affair with a subordinate.

Gore: Young minds hold solutions to climate crisis

Al Gore said he believes students are the next American heroes.

"These are not normal times," he said to a crowd of about 3,000 Sunday at the Schottenstein Center. "You must become America's third hero generation."

Gore said previous American "hero generations" were the founders of this country and the young people of World War II. He said he believes current environmental issues are as important as these past national trials.

Advocacy Center aids students in scholastic crisis

Steven Neufang's spring quarter has been a stressful one. On top of the usual stresses of an Ohio State student, he has spent the last six weeks attempting to correct a quiz grade that has a significant impact on his final grade.

"For some reason the quiz grade wasn't recorded," said Neufang, a junior in psychology. "The quiz I actually did quite well on ended up being a zero. I was able to calculate my final grade and saw that it would be a whole letter grade below what it should have been."

Disabled gays suffer double discrimination

Robert Feinstein was supposed to speak at the Qualia Festival of Gay Folklife this weekend, but could not travel from New York without his guide dog "Harley," who recently passed away.

Feinstein's article, "Being Blind and Gay," made him an icon in the gay community. His unique situation attracted Qualia leaders to invite him to the conference.

Wetland Park wins award

Ohio State's wetland research park gained an extra degree of protection after winning the 24th Ramsar Wetland of International Importance in the USA.

"We have done everything we can to ensure this place will go on forever," said Bill Mitsch, director of the 50-acre Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park. "No one else has anything like this, so we want to protect it."
