Thankfully, there is now light at the end of the tunnel in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Of course, Barack Obama has been the likely nominee since about March, but the insufferable Hillary Clinton launched a kamikaze campaign that looked like it might just be successful until, well, North Carolina and Indiana finally placed the coup de grace on what had become one the odder presidential campaigns - one that saw Rudy Giuliani spend $50 million to net one delegate and saw Ron Paul get a national microphone.
