Scarlet quarterback Braxton Miller (5) runs up the field during Ohio State's 2011 Spring Game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, April 23, 2011. The Scarlet team won, 59-27.

Ohio State head football coach Luke Fickell announced Thursday that Braxton Miller would start at quarterback in Saturday's matchup against Colorado.

Fickell made the announcement during his weekly radio show around noon, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

The expected start would be Miller's first at OSU. Miller did not see playing time against Toledo, but split time with redshirt senior quarterback Joe Bauserman in games against Akron and Miami (Fla.). Bauserman started the previous three games.

Kickoff for Saturday's game at Ohio Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will air on ABC.

Also, I wouldn't classify a 1-2 sentence comment as "spending a lot of time and effort." See how quickly I wrote this 2nd comment?

I, too, get email alerts from the Lantern. When I see an email with BREAKING NEWS, all in capital letters, I open it. A person could reasonably assume that an email from the Lantern, outside of the regular email of the entire electronic version of the latest issue, with such a heading as BREAKING NEWS, contains information that the Lantern deemed too important to wait until the next Lantern publication to make public. Was somebody shot on campus? Is there a bomb threat? Is a building unexpectedly closed? Has tuition just dropped?

Generally, I would not classify a change in the football roster as warranting the BREAKING NEWS moniker. That is why I commented.

Chad, I get email alerts from the lantern, but wish they would use it for things that are actually important. I got an email from them with "BREAKING NEWS:" and it contained nothing but this story. This story is not important enough to send out an email alert about.

So Annymous/Sarcasm.. if this story is such a waste of time why did you come here and comment on it? For someone who doesn't care, you seem to be spending a lot of time and effort here.

SO GLAD this is sent as an email alert with BREAKING NEWS! I wasn't going to be able to get anything else done today until I found this out.
