OSU men's lacrosse midfielder Dominique Alexander carries the ball upfield during the Buckeyes' April 21 game against Air Force. OSU won, 14-4.

In front of a crowd of 19,087, the Ohio State men’s lacrosse team beat Air Force with a 14-4 win as part Saturday afternoon’s “Showdown in the ‘Shoe.”

The Buckeyes, led by junior Logan Schuss’ four goals, scored one minute into the first quarter and never looked back.

In a flurry of offense, OSU roared to a 10-0 lead in the third quarter before Air Force finally answered with a goal of their own.

Despite a four-goal rally from Air Force in the fourth quarter, the lead OSU established throughout the game proved to be too much.

The win was OSU’s third in a row and enough to finally put them back above .500 after going 1-5 in March.

The Buckeyes will close out the regular season at Fairfield April 28.
