Jan. 27: An open cab golf cart was stolen from the loading dock of the Drake Union. A chain had secured the cart and the keys were not with it. Counterfeit buys caffeine at costJan 22: Counterfeit money was exchanged at Oxley’s on the Go coffee catering service on the second floor Student Lounge at Gerlach Hall. The employee of Oxley’s believes that the woman is a regular customer and will attempt to learn her name and information to notify police. The counterfeit, $10, was placed into evidence. Gift shop thief didn’t get farJan. 21: University police were notified that hospital security was detaining a female as a suspect in a theft from the Scarlet Ribbon Gift Shop. A witness advised gift shop staff he had observed the suspect stuff articles of clothing under her jacket. The suspect then left the store. An employee of the store followed the woman into a restroom in Doan Hall while the authorities were contacted. The woman was stopped as she was leaving the restroom, now carrying a blue bag with several articles of clothing. She was placed under arrest and taken to OSU police headquarters for processing. Intoxicated woman treated at OSU ERJan. 19: University police were dispatched to Drackett Tower on a report of an intoxicated female in need of medical attention. The woman was lying on her right side on a couch in her dorm room and a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage on or about her was noticed. Her speech was slurred and slow. The woman had had shallow breathing and her lips had been blue when she was dropped off in her dorm room.
