To the Editor:

In response to Phil Mattingly’s column detailing a potential outdoor hockey game at the Horseshoe, I just have one question for him: When the Bucks draw only 6,000 at the Schott for any given game, what could possibly make him think that 75,000 would show up at Ohio Stadium for hockey?

Yes, it’s a great venue for football. But not for hockey. And as for his idea of playing against “one of the better hockey teams in the country,” how about maybe having an Ohio State team be above .500 before he starts talking about bringing in a Boston College, Maine, Wisconsin or another elite team.
