The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that an Ohio State student has tested positive for influenza A (H1N1) virus, popularly known as swine flu.

The student, who lives in Stradley Hall, was suspected of having the illness last week. The student is recovering and will remain in quarantine for several more days. In an e-mail to students, staff and faculty, Bob Armstrong, Director of Emergency Management and Fire Prevention, said students should continue frequent hand washing and covering mouths and nose with a tissue if a cough or sneeze is apparent.
