Brandon Saine will start at running back for the Buckeyes against New Mexico State on Saturday, coach Jim Tressel announced.

Saine suffered a concussion during the second quarter of Ohio State’s 38-7 victory over Minnesota last Saturday, and did not return.

The junior tailback is second on the team in rushing yards, with 426. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor leads OSU with 471 yards on the ground.

Running back Dan “Boom” Herron has been called questionable for Saturday’s game. Herron suffered a sprained ankle in the Oct. 10 win over Wisconsin. He had injured the same ankle two weeks earlier against Illinois.

Saturday’s game is at noon.
