Freddy L. Oliver, 33, was arrested Thursday when officers saw him driving a car that was stolen from West Eighth Avenue less than 24 hours earlier, according to reports. The car was returned to the owner and Lee has been charged with motor vehicle theft.

A student’s car was stolen Friday night while it was parked behind his West Lane Avenue apartment.

The 22-year-old student told police that he parked the car at 7 p.m. and when he returned at 9 p.m., the Toyota Camry was missing. He also reported that he had left his wallet, iPod and GPS in the car when it was stolen.

Another car was reported stolen between Tuesday and Thursday while it was parked near East Frambes and Waldeck avenues. The car was a 2003 Jeep Liberty valued at $13,000.
