The Ohio State football team elected senior safety and captain Kurt Coleman the Buckeyes’ Most Valuable Player at the team’s award banquet Sunday.

Coleman, who leads OSU with five interceptions, was also named the most outstanding defensive player. Sophomore quarterback Terrelle Pryor was chosen as the outstanding offensive player.

Ohio State will play Oregon in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 1.
