The Lane Avenue Parking Garage opened on Jan. 4. There are 1,400 spaces in the garage, which is located at the southeast corner of Lane Avenue and Tuttle Park Place.

“The garage will provide adequate parking for north campus,” said Sarah Blouch, director of Traffic and Parking. “So far about 300 to 400 people have been parking in there” every day.

The garage is open to faculty, staff and students with permits. The garage is also open for hourly use.

“Students can buy parking passes right now for $399.64 and yearly passes $599.40,” Blouch said.

There are 70 spots reserved for low-emission, fuel-efficient vehicles. Automobiles that are eligible for these spaces can be found on the OSU Traffic and Parking Web site. The spaces will help prepare the garage, along with the joined Student Academic Services Building, for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.
