Students interested in helping run elections for Ohio State’s Undergraduate Student Government can serve on the Elections Governance Board. This group spends Winter Quarter planning and preparing the logistics and promotions of the USG elections. The last information session is at 8 p.m. today in 0030 Journalism Building. USG says sexual violence is an issue, wants to stop it

At the Senate meeting last Wednesday, USG senators signed a pledge saying that they recognize sexual violence as an issue and they want to stop it from occurring on campus. This pledge, signed by many other student organizations, will be part of the Sexual Violence Awareness Week that will take place April 19 to 23. The kickoff will be in the Ohio Union and President E. Gordon Gee will sign a proclamation against sexual violence.

USG passes resolution to address drug abuse

Also at last week’s meeting, the USG Senate unanimously passed “A Resolution to Address Prescription Drug Abuse by Ohio State Students,” stating that USG will support initiatives to incorporate prescription medication abuse education into survey classes and develop an online prescription medication abuse education program.
