Michael Redd’s message to OSU students: Even NBA All-Stars have their struggles.

During his “Night of Hope” event Sunday at the Ohio Union, Redd admitted he had problems with drinking, sex and that he even questioned whether he should be alive.

About a couple hundred students were on hand to hear Redd’s story about what life as an OSU student was like for him and how his faith changed his life.

One of the highest-earning players in professional sports, Redd was living the life of a star athlete, until one night early in his career when he said God spoke to him.
