After losing its first game of the season Saturday, the Ohio State men’s basketball team dropped one spot to No. 2 in The Associated Press‘ latest poll. The Buckeyes (24-1, 11-1 Big Ten) fell behind the Kansas Jayhawks (24-1, 9-1 Big 12).

Kansas’ lone loss came at home against Texas on Jan 22. The Longhorns came in at No. 3, but earned 23 first-place votes, more than Kansas and OSU, which received 22 and 14, respectively. Pittsburgh and Duke round out the top five.

Wisconsin, the team that handed the Buckeyes their first loss, moved up to No. 10 and, along with OSU and No. 11 Purdue, is one of three Big Ten teams ranked in the Top 25.

OSU fell to No. 3 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll, behind No. 1 Kansas and No. 2 Texas.
