The Ohio State University Police Division is investigating the disappearance of a 30-year-old woman who was last seen on OSU’s campus, said Captain Dave Rose of OSU police.

Hueih-Rur “Alice” Lin, who is on campus often, was “here with family that worked for the university,” Rose said.

No one has seen Lin since about noon on July 6 when she “walked away from west campus near Kenny Road and Carmack Road,” according to a press release from OSU police.

Rose said foul play is not suspected and that there is credible evidence that Lin left Columbus after purchasing a bus ticket for New York City.

While Lin has a history of mental illness, she is not considered dangerous and is known to have left the Columbus area on her own in the past, the press release states.

Lin is described as a 5’3″ Taiwanese female, weighing about 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the press release. Anyone with information is asked to call OSU police.
