A 21-year-old man was stabbed four times near Ohio State’s campus early Tuesday morning.

According to a NBC4 report, Columbus Division of Police and Emergency Medical Services were called at about 1:16 a.m. to the 1700 block of N. High Street. The area is near the Ohio Union. Twenty-one-year-old Joshua Burke was transported to the Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.

He is not an OSU student.

NBC4 reported that Burke was stabbed twice in the front and twice from behind during an altercation with the suspect, still unknown.

Columbus Division of Police officials said they are looking for a 40- to 50-year-old man, but no further details have been given.

Burke was later upgraded to stable condition.

Columbus Police did not immediately return requests for comment.
