Wednesday night Ohio State Police issued a public safety notice informing the campus community that Michael Moses Tarpeh, a dangerous and wanted criminal, could be in the area. According to the safety notice Tarpeh is wanted for aggravated assault, attempted sexual assault, armed carjacking, robbery and assault and battery of a motorist. Tarpeh is about 280 pounds and 6 feet tall and wanted in three states, police said. He goes by the alias of Michael Moses Boadi and refers to himself as “Bigggggg Mike.”
There were six reports of possession of drugs on OSU’s campus from Feb. 21 to Thursday.
A male student reported possession of drugs in Park-Stradley Hall at about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, and a female staff member reported possession of drugs at the Drake Union Friday around 6 p.m.
Four reported incidents were in buildings that are part of the Wexner Medical Center. Two were at the OSU Medical Center at 410 W. 10th Ave. The first incident occurred Friday around 3:30 a.m., and the second occurred Saturday around 5 a.m. The other incidents were both on Monday, one at Rhodes Hall located at 450 W. 10th Ave. and the other at University Hospitals East located at 1492 E. Broad St.
There were 17 thefts reported on campus this week. This is two less than the previous week. One of these was a theft from an automobile at University Hospitals East.
A male student was arrested early Sunday morning for obstructing official business at Ohio Stadium.
