LeBron James may finally be able to use his honorary locker within the Ohio State men’s basketball locker room.

James, a long time OSU supporter and Akron, Ohio, native, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are scheduled to head to the Schottenstein Center to take on the Chicago Bulls in a preseason matchup set for Oct. 20 at 7 p.m, according to the team’s website.

OSU installed the aforementioned locker as a tribute to James, who has sponsored the Buckeyes’ on-court apparel since 2007, but will need to change the number on the locker from 6 to 23, as James recently announced he will switch back to the number he wore throughout his first seven seasons in the NBA before originally leaving Cleveland to join the Miami Heat.

While the Cavaliers played a preseason game at the Schottenstein Center in 2013 against the Philadelphia 76ers, this will be James’ first stop in Columbus with the Cavaliers since returning to the organization on July 11.

Last year’s game in Columbus proved a fruitful one for Cavaliers fans as Cleveland defeated Philadelphia, 104-93.

In that game, Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving lead the way with 17 points and 12 assists, while forward Tristan Thompson added 15 points and 16 rebounds on the evening.

In addition to their scheduled stop in Columbus, the Cavaliers are slated to head to the Cintas Center at Xavier University in Cincinnati and the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janiero as a part of their 2014 preseason schedule.

Tickets for the game will go on sale Sept. 12 at 10 a.m, OSU announced via its ticket sales Twitter account, @OhioStateTix, Friday evening.
