College-apparel store UniversiTees is closing its 2114 N. High St. location, manager Lee Barber told The Lantern Wednesday afternoon.

Barber said the store, which is running a sale to clear its inventory, is planning on closing sometime in January.

Both the opening of a new location, and where that location might be, is up in the air, manager Chris Hooper said.

“As of right now, there’s nowhere to move on High Street,” Hooper said.

The store doesn’t stand in the way of the university’s the 15th and High redevelopment plan, but construction is either underway or planned to occur in the near future on North High Street between East 17th and East 14th avenues.

“We would love to come back (to North High Street),” Barber said. After expressing gratitude for loyal customers, he added, “Everything must go.”
