DALLAS — Ohio State redshirt senior quarterback J.T. Barrett broke his own program record for most touchdowns in a season when he scored a 1-yard touchdown, his 46th of the season, less than three minutes into Friday night’s Cotton Bowl against USC.

The score surpassed his 2014 record of 45 touchdowns. He has 35 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns this year.

Barrett holds many records at Ohio State and in the Big Ten. Earlier this season, he set the school passing record, the program single-season touchdown pass record and the Big Ten career passing touchdown record.
