A boil advisory has been issued for some campus buildings after a water main break occurred Wednesday afternoon on the east side of The Oval, resulting in intermittent water outages in surrounding buildings.

Assessment and repairs have been made as of Thursday morning, however the university issued the cautionary advisory for the following on-campus areas: 19th Avenue; Milkin Road at Annie and John Glenn Avenue; North High Street; and Hagerty Drive.

Per the advisory, those within the boundaries are to boil all water used for cooking and drinking for one minute until further notice.

The affected buildings — many of which sit on The Oval — did not have cold water in restroom sinks, and toilets were not operational.

The Ohio Union and Thompson Library – two of the most populated buildings over break — are not affected.
