A jury found Brian Golsby guilty on all counts in the kidnapping, rape and murder of Ohio State University student Reagan Tokes on Feb. 8, 2017.

Golsby was most notably found guilty on all counts of aggravated murder, which carry with them the possibility of a death sentence. The defense had not argued for Golsby’s innocence but rather that he be found guilty of murder but not aggravated murder.

The jury heard closing arguments early Tuesday and began deliberation around 12:30 p.m. and returned a verdict shortly after 6 p.m.

One juror had to be removed about an hour into deliberation on Tuesday after a concerned citizen called the court to let them know one of the jurors had broken the rule of not discussing the case.

Sentencing for Golsby will begin later this week.
