The Ohio State University issued a public safety notice on Friday regarding a string of burglaries in a student residence hall.

“The Ohio State University Police Division has identified a crime trend in a residence hall defined as burglary by Clery Act guidelines,” the email said. “OSUPD is actively investigating several thefts of cash and credit cards from unlocked, unattended residence hall rooms in Morrill Tower.”

The reported thefts occurred between August 15 and August 30 at varied times throughout the day.

The email advised students to remember to lock their doors and not to leave valuables unattended. University Police ask that anyone with information related to the crimes call them at 614-292-2121.
