As the Ohio State women’s soccer team continues Big Ten play, the Buckeyes will face Illinois and Northwestern in a series of away games.

With back-to-back losses to Florida Gulf Coast and Penn State, the Buckeyes will look to redeem themselves as they take on Illinois and Northwestern Thursday.

Last Friday, Ohio State took on Penn State in the Big Ten opener in State College, where they lost 4-0 to the Nittany Lions, marking the Buckeyes’ second consecutive loss after their 1-0 win over Notre Dame, resulting in a 3-4-0 record on the year.

The Buckeyes made four saves and four shots over the Nittany Lions, while Penn State notched three saves and 12 shots at Jeffrey Field. Ohio State had a 6-4 favor over the Nittany Lions in corner kicks.

After a five-game win streak, Illinois is coming off a recent 0-1 loss on the road in double overtime to Wisconsin, putting the team at 6-3-0 so far this season.

Northwestern took the 1-0 road victory over Ohio State last season..

The Wildcats currently sit at 6-1-2 overall this season after a recent 2-0 loss to Minnesota on the road.
