An accident involving an Ohio State CABS bus and a tow truck occurred on Friday morning at the intersection of John Herrick Drive and Olentangy River Road.

The crash happened at 6:45 a.m. when the tow truck ran into the side of the bus with several riders taken to the Wexner Medical Center for injuries.

“Earlier this morning, a CABS bus transporting Medical Center staff was involved in an accident on campus. Fortunately, thanks to the skill of the bus driver, there were no life-threatening injuries,” a message posted online for Wexner employees said. “As always, the safety of all of our physicians, nurses and staff is of the utmost importance. We’ll continue to monitor the welfare of those on the bus and work with law enforcement concerning the accident.”

The crash report said that both drivers claimed to be going through a green light. According to the crash report, on-board video from the bus showed it proceeding through a green light that was turning yellow and that the truck was at fault.
